Last January 23, 2017, through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), a partnership was forged between the Philippine College of Technology (PCT), a leader in technology education in the region, and the Westminster Paul Theological Seminary (WPTS), an educational institution based in Guang Ju City in Korea. WPTS will be sending suitable prospective students from Korea. PCT designed a training program for Korean scholars in Caregiving integrating English proficiency training thru ESL and leading them for IELTS tests. The Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Dr. Ma. Rossini L. Balili, Ed.d, School President of PCT and Dr. Chang – Bum Hur, the President of Westminster Paul Theological Seminary and Korea Counseling Education System. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Dr. Young Gyu Sang – President of Davao Visionary College, Dr. Celia D. Andas, Ed.D, VP – Academic Affairs, Ms. Kathryn Ann Sicam, R.N, VP – Administration and Ms. Lalaine Gañas, R.N – Paramedical Department Head. Both institutions are aware of the global crisis in age care and the looming number of ailing seniors requiring long – term care. The partnership of PCT & WPTS aims to address this alarming reality and to support the struggling Global Healthcare System. Likewise, this is PCT’s way of contributing to the education and tourism goals of Davao City.
